Curriculum

Anawim has a vibrant timetable offering courses Tuesday-Friday’s within a safe women only environment. We are opening up these courses to other women not case managed by an Anawim worker providing their current worker continues to offer the wrap around support needed. We will have volunteers and mentors who can offer limited support alongside the courses and our tutors are well equipped to managing diverse needs.

The timetable changes constantly and copies can be found on this website but the type of courses include, Skills for life-Numeracy and Literacy through Solihull College, Parenting, Drugs & Alcohol, Domestic Violence awareness, Health and Wellbeing and Beauty workshops are facilitated by Bournville College, we also have Art and IT.

As well as all of these we run a therapeutic programme which is facilitated by a member of staff and a psychologist, within this programme we have a variety of courses: REDD (Regulating Emotions and dealing with distress), Seeking Safety and TREM (Trauma recovery and empowerment model).

We work closely with other organisations and supporting agencies who offer one to one support her at Anawim: Duncan Lewis Solicitors and The Firm Solicitors who offer legal advice, LGBT and Crisis.
