FEMALE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION & ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Location: Anawim Project, Birmingham B12 9RJ 
Grade:  SCP 34 - 37
Salary:  £30,911 - £33,286 per annum
Hours:  37 hours per week (Some flexibility with the hours may be considered)

Background to the project:

Anawim was originally founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity. They invited Father Hudson’s Society to work with them in partnership to develop the work, and their joint vision and ethos continue to inspire the project. Anawim seeks to support women who are vulnerable due to poverty, homelessness, abuse, rape, addictions, and may be drawn into prostitution and/or offending as a consequence. It recognises prostitution as exploitation of women. All staff, whether working in a paid or voluntary capacity, are expected to respect and work to the core values of respecting others, valuing all, and belief in the possibility of a life lived to the full.

 
Aim of the Project:

Anawim is growing, especially with the establishment of our residential service, Dawn House. This role is to implement new projects, manage existing contracts and grants, network and engage with commissioners and funders to further the work of the charity and the sector by increasing the reach, effectiveness and sustainability of the work.

 
Background to this post:

The CEO is engaging in increased amounts of policy and influencing work, therefore Anawim need to expand the core management team. A fundraising role has been created, plus finance has been bought in-house for the first time, elements of HR are moving too. We require a stronger presence at networking events and contract meetings with commissioners, plus we need to actively organise our own roundtables & events to disseminate research and outcomes to create further tender and procurement opportunities. We are seeking an experienced and innovative person who has initiative, common sense, a great personality and the ability to manage the implementation of projects and engage with a wide range of people at all levels from Anawim service users to commissioners to Baronesses.
