Ways to support Anawim at work
There are lots of ways you can raise money for Anawim. We are registered on JustGiving and GoFundMe or you can support us via the Birmingham Community Lottery, on eBay or on PayPal.
As an organisation or with your colleagues, you can support Anawim by raising awareness about our services and the need for our women’s centre in Birmingham.
You could hold fundraising events or organise projects and activities, from cake sales to coffee mornings, dress up days or collecting unwanted items, there are plenty of ways your organisation can get involved. You could even see if your organisation will match the amount of money you raise, doubling your fundraising efforts! There’s lots of ideas on how to get involved here.
You’re always welcome to drop in to our centre to find out more about what we do. We’re always open to new partnerships with organisations who care and are looking to invest in our community through positive social action. You can read about some of our regular company supporters at the bottom of this page.

Supermarkets
If you are a supermarket and could donate food or other useful household items for our women, get in touch. We have seen an increase in demand for food parcels, if you can support us by providing one off or regular food donations please let us know – giving@anawim.co.uk.
Volunteering
As part of your team away day or CSR day you could carry out activities at our centre such as gardening, cooking or crafts, and we’re always looking for more volunteers to join our brilliant team. Find out more about volunteering here.
Some of our supporters
Gowling WLG
Gowling WLG Birmingham has helped Anawim massively over recent years; hosting Anawim’s 30th birthday party, fundraising and various other supportive gestures.
In Summer 2019, the fantastic team at Gowling WLG chose Anawim as their charity of choice for their team project, and completely renovated our centre garden. The garden has since become a place for women to relax, enjoy the sunshine and socialise. A sanctuary to grow herbs and vegetables, admire the flowers and take shade in our lovely shelter.
We are so thankful to the team for their fundraising efforts leading up to the event and all of their hard work on the day. Some of our women contributed their own artwork to the garden, personalising their space and bringing a sense of ownership.
Solihull Soroptimists
Solihull Soroptimists has supported Anawim over many years through fundraising and donating useful items for our women, such as bedding and homewares. The organisation even put together brand new welcome bags for women coming into Dawn House which contained essentials and luxury items for each new resident.
Edgbaston Cricket Stadium and The Edgbaston Foundation
Players of the Warwickshire Men’s and Women’s County Cricket clubs came together to support Anawim’s women and their children at Christmas time, bringing in beautifully decorated shoe boxes containing thoughtful and caring gifts.
