Side Dish comes to Birmingham this February, pairing great food, surprise comedy and fundraising for Anawim.
A new annual pop-up event series, Side Dish, is coming to Birmingham from 2nd–5th February, bringing together local food venues, unexpected moments of live comedy and fundraising for a Birmingham charity during a traditionally quieter period for hospitality.
Taking place across four nights, Side Dish transforms local restaurants, pizzerias and casual dining venues into warm, social nights out where a curated menu is paired with a surprise comedy moment woven into the evening. Sometimes the comedy appears before food, sometimes after, sometimes in between – the unpredictability is part of the experience.
In Birmingham, Side Dish events will take place at venues including Tiger Bites Pig, Txikiteo and The Button Factory, with more locations to be announced. Each night is designed as a warm, social way to support local hospitality during a quieter winter period.
Funds raised through ticket sales will support Anawim, a Birmingham-based charity working with women facing poverty, abuse and homelessness, providing long-term support and practical help. It kicks off a year of events celebrating the charity’s 40th anniversary.
“Side Dish is about creating moments that matter locally,” says Dominic Mills, Founder of Yuup, who are producing the series. “By fundraising for Anawim, the Birmingham programme supports local venues while helping fund vital work with women across the city.”
Side Dish events will run in Birmingham from 2–5 February, with tickets now on sale via Yuup and limited availability at each venue.
