Please donate to support services for women and girls today

Anawim is an independent charity and we also choose to work in close partnership with a number of agencies, including Probation, Social Care, health and education providers, employers, the criminal justice system and the wider community.

We are open to long term and short-term partnerships, and for over 30 years, we’ve been working with local businesses, charities and statutory organisations to deliver high quality services for women with multiple and complex needs.

We’ve previously won awards for our collaborative working such as the Howard League for Penal Reform Award for community sentences and the Robin Corbett Award – 2018 Commended for tenacity and perseverance.

Anawim’s unique ability to connect and engage with women is a valuable contribution to any partnership and with our extensive experience of front-line delivery can achieve better outcomes for less money. Preventative elements of our work not only save money in the long run, but also protect children from adversity, reducing the likelihood of trauma and creating a better world for future generations.

As a partner Anawim offers insight, collaborative working and operates with integrity – taking ownership of our role in bringing success and open and honest communication. We love to develop strong relationships with other organisations working towards the same mission and are always looking for more opportunities to reach and support women in need in Birmingham.

We are part of the National Women’s Justice Coalition, an alliance of 26 women’s organisations from across England and Wales that share a collective mission to drive systemic change to reduce the stigmatisation of women and girls in contact with the criminal justice system and improve outcomes for them.

If you are looking for solutions to your challenges or to fill gaps in your services through a partnership with Anawim, we would love to hear from you.
